Reunited at demo day 08.23.2019
Deva and Blake reunited at Innovate Birmingham's 9th Demo Day, where Blake saw Deva with her friends and approached her, playfully saying he was finally on social media. They decided to stay in touch.
Our first date 09.08.2019
Blake and Deva went on their first date at Surin in Five Points for dinner, followed by drinks at Queens Park, where they shared stories and laughs over delicious food and cocktails.
First photo together 10.04.2019
At a company event for Blake's work, the couple found a polaroid station and seized the opportunity to take their first photo together. They knew it would be the first of many.
First "I love you" 10.31.2019
On Halloween night, just as Blake was about to end a phone call with Deva, he accidentally blurted out: "Love you!" After a night of fun, Deva returned the sentiment, confessing her love for Blake. From that night on, they knew they were meant to be together.
First beach trip 11.16.2019
Deva and Blake's first trip to the beach was a weekend getaway to Pensacola, FL where they met Blake's Uncle Art and Aunt Lynda. They enjoyed the sun, sand, and nightlife - they even watched a meteor shower while cuddled under a blanket.
First Christmas 12.25.2019
They traveled, nervous and excited, to meet family for the first time, but were both warmly welcomed with open arms and lots of delicious food.
Quarantine time 2020
During quarantine, the couple spent countless hours together playing video games, watching movies and shows, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. They found joy in each other's company, grateful for the love and laughter that filled their days as the world stood still.
Colorado winter trip 12.17.2020
Blake, Deva, and Blake's sister, Lorin, traveled to Breckenridge, Colorado for a winter trip. Blake snowboarded and Deva skied, and all were amazed by the beautiful landscape after being at home for all of 2020.
Deva's new job 3.15.2021
Deva and Blake made the decision to move to the beautiful city of Seattle, surrounded by the ocean, lakes, and mountains. Deva then started her job hunt for Seattle-based companies, ultimately landing one a month later, kicking off a new adventure to the PNW.
Prepping for Seattle Summer 2021
Preparing for their big move, they sold all of their furniture and more at a yard sale, then moved in with Blake's grandmother, Mimi, for the summer. With all the love and support from their family, they truly felt ready for Seattle.
Moved to Seattle 09.10.2021
After months of preparation, they arrived with just three large boxes and their luggage. On the first night, they celebrated by getting teriyaki from a spot right next to their new apartment and ate it on a cardboard box on the floor.
First music festival 10.30.2021
This time for Halloween, the couple went to their first music festival together. They got in costume and made their way to Boo Seattle at WaMu Theater.
First Washington hike 04.17.2022

Birthday in Hawaii 07.16.2022
Blake booked Deva a birthday trip to Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, where they enjoyed the clear blue waters and Deva's favorite tree, the palm tree. They explored the island of Oahu and had a blast with activities like hiking, snorkeling, and parasailing.
The Gorge 7.24.2022
Blake and Deva's first time at The Gorge Amphitheater was for a camping music festival called Group Therapy Weekender. They got to see Above and Beyond and a lot of other awesome artists on their Anjuna labels... in 100-degree heat.
